Foundation's 2020 Year in Giving Review

The Foundation began the year by trying something new: Instead of holding two funding cycles, one in the Spring, and one in the Fall, we decided to focus on one area of interest — in this case, Literacy — and direct the majority of our funding to projects aimed at literacy. Animal Welfare and Environmental causes would also be considered for smaller grants.

Then, COVID hit, and things changed! One of those changes was the Foundation’s shift in focus to include more Health and Social Welfare requests. In some cases, we were able to combine our original focus of Literacy with COVID-related funding.
